GOTHAM TRIBUNE: Now YOU Can Own The Batman ¡¯66 Wall-Safe Print!
By Dan Greenfield on Mar 25, 2014 | 0 comments
As you know, Mark Waid got this Batman ¡¯66-inspired painting for his birthday. Then I heard from the painter herself ¡ NOW IT CAN BE TOLD!
Quick recap: A couple months ago, we had BATMAN ¡¯66 WEEK here at 13th Dimension and we ran a survey of comics creators¡¯ favorite moments from the show.
Mark Waid had two of them, with his second ¡°from Season 3¡äs Siren episode, in which we learn the secret location of Bruce Wayne¡¯s hidden wall safe. Cleverly enough, it¡¯s concealed behind a painting.¡± And he mentioned that he wanted Santa to bring him one. So his partner Christy Blanch got him one for his birthday last week.
The painter was Alys Caviness-Gober ¡ª and now you can buy the print!
HOLY PICASSO, BATMAN!
Turns out Alys has painted a number of commissioned comics-related pieces, so I¡¯ll let her tell you about...

The paintings of Alys Caviness-Gober will be featured in a Gallery Show at Gallery 145, in the Hazel Dell Christian Church in Carmel, IN, for the entire month of July 2013 (the Gallery is open daily from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm). Alys is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her work with visitors to Gallery 145. She says, "I paint impressions of a memory, moment, or mood; memories of places that I have been, or an impression of a place that I wish I could see in person, or perhaps a time or a seasonal feeling. Hopefully viewers will like what they see, and feel a positive emotion ~ a peaceful, serene feeling, or perhaps make the viewer dream of distant places or times. As a child, I was diagnosed with an incurable lung disease, so my physical limitations have challenged my life but art has always been a constant. Although I have no formal training in any art genre, I find myself constantly creating: I cannot seem to stop! I live in Noblesville with my husband. Our two children are in...
