Description
Pajaro Valley in Santa Cruz County, Northern California, USA - While driving along coastal Highway 1, we spotted this wonderful old wreck of a house. This is the back of the house, and the only view from which we could see the collapsed sheds. Nature is slowly reclaiming them. This was taken from a farmstand, which has planted fields behind and next to it. We bought a pumpkin there, so it was cool. Some of the land around these buildings is being used for either storage of campers or people are actually parked and living in the campers.

Great title, I agree! Nice capture Martha. It's sad to see great old houses fall in ruin. They just don't make them like they used to.

Thank you very much, Michael. It is so sad this magnificent house was allowed to rot like this, though it certainly is a stunning sight even now.

Thank you very much, Mik! I am amazed that this house is still standing after being abandoned for what must be a long time.
